BERTANI Amarone della Valpolicella Classico DOC 1981

HK$3,320.00

Some consider Bertani as the inventor of modern Amarone. They work on the purity of the wine’s fruit, its territory and its tradition. The wine is built on acid and structure, not on sweetness and extract.

“Rich, dark garnet red. Initially quite reductive, closed nose, then opens up with notes of ink and dried tomatoes. Very round and balanced on the palate, then shows subtle bitter notes of tamarind and bitter orange on the finish, grippy and with good drive.” – Falstaff, 94 Points

Today, the winery continues to blend tradition with innovation, managing over 200 hectares of vineyards in the prime areas of the Verona province.
