描述
Puglia
Puglia

Puglia, also known as Apulia, is in the south of Italy; the heel of Italy’s boot.
The region is becoming increasingly popular as travellers discover the area’s varied charms: baroque towns, white-washed trullo houses, olive groves and orchards, blue sea and beaches, plenty of sunshine and excellent wines & cuisine.
Some of the best values Italian wine come from this sunny, dry region. Most Puglia wine is red, full-bodied. Producers in Puglia have focused on local grapes like Negroamaro, Primitivo, and Bombino Nero.
The two most popular and widely available wines from Puglia are Salice Salentino and Primitivo (the same grape as California’s Zinfandel!).

Alberto Longo

The Winery of Alberto Longo was created in 1968 in Nothern Apulia, Lucera. Since its creation, Adele and Giovanni Longo and their son Alberto share a passion for producing quality wines.
Today with their 35 hectares of vines, the Longo family has been able to integrate the latest winemaking technologies with traditional vineyard management with the help of winemaker Graziana Grassini (student of Giacomo Tachis).
Alberto Longo is producing indigenous grapes such as Montepulciano, Bombino Bianco and Nero di Troia or Falanghina. He is one of the main producers of the nearly forgotten appellation Cacc’e Mmitte di Lucera, amongst the first DOCs in Puglia to be established and recognized in 1976.
