Vineyards are located in the Monte Foscarino: basaltic-volcanic soil and south-east exposure of the vines. Selection from old vines, more than 40 years old.

"This is very intense with electric acidity. Dried apples, lemons and minerals with a salty undertone. Full-bodied with phenolic tension and an extremely long finish. Hints of oyster. Needs two or three years to show its greatness, but fantastic already." - James Suckling, 95 Points

"Foscarino as a modern-day muse. An inspiring wine that can lead to greater ideas. This profound wine opens with aromas of quince, roasted Fuji, preserved kumquats and an entire meadow full of flowers that encompasses all senses. Rich on the palate, yet stately the wine threads the needle as flavors of orange flower water, white peach, mint and honey flow into a sea of crushed shells and green almonds giving a salty, savory finish that languishes. Drink Now - 2040" - Wine Enthusiast, 97 Points & #12 The 2025 Top 100 Cellar Selection

Grape: 100% Garganega

It is also a region that contributes a significant percentage of the country’s total wine industry. With now 14 DOCGS & 24 DOCs, Veneto is producing every style of wine and with great success.
Soave, Valpolicella and Bardolino, Amarone, are produced there. The super trendy sparkling wine Prosecco has its origins and its best expression in the Veneto.

Today the winery is run by the 3rd generation, pushing up the quality of the Soave and developing their other project in Colli Berici. Here, mineral-rich terra rossa soils (red clay over limestone) and a hot, dry climate make ideal conditions for growing red grapes, in particular Carmenere.

Beaulieu Vineyard (BV for labelling purposes) is a vineyard in California, belonging to the appellation Rutherford AVA. It was established by Georges de Latour in 1900.

Georges de Latour made many innovations in California’s wine industry. He advocated using small oak barrels for the aging certain varietals. This gave his wines a complexity and depth rarely seen before in the Golden State. Then, they became sought after on both coasts of the United States.

Martinenga is the only Cru to be entirely owned by a single producer, a "Monopole"!

"Extremely perfumed and pleasant on the nose with hibiscus, cherry blossom, orange peel and watermelon aromas that follow through to a medium body with very fine tannins with such lovely length.
Located, as its name suggests, at the foot of the Alps bordering France and Switzerland, Piedmont is the second largest of Italy’s 20 regions, after Sicily.

Recognized for its industry like Fiat in Turin, Piedmont is also one of the greatest regions in the world in terms of cuisine (don’t forget the white truffles from Alba!) and wine!

With 42 DOC and 17 DOCG, Piedmont has more wine appellations than any other Italian region.

The most recognized grape variety is Nebbiolo named exactly for the arrival of this pre-harvest fog (called “nebbia” in Italian), which prolongs cluster hang time and allows full phenolic balance and ripeness. This grape is responsible for the exalted Piedmont wines of Barbaresco and Barolo, known for their ageability, firm tannins and hallmark aromas of tar and roses. Nebbiolo wines, despite their pale hue, pack a pleasing punch of flavor and structure. Barbaresco tends to be more elegant in style while Barolo is more powerful. Across the Tanaro River, the Roero region, and farther north, the regions of Gattinara and Ghemme, also produce excellent quality Nebbiolo.

Barbera is the most planted grape in Piedmont, beloved for its trademark high acidity, low tannin and juicy red fruit. Dolcetto, Piedmont’s other important red grape, is usually ready within a couple of years of release.

Vigna Rionda is historically the most revered vineyard of Serralunga, the source of some of the greatest, finest, yet most robust and long-lived Barolo. Massolino, the largest owner, produces a wine with excellent acidity and tannins that require ageing in barrel and bottle, at least 6 years.

"Cherry, strawberry, rose, iron and menthol flavors highlight this supple red. There's plenty of backbone, and woodsy notes chime in, but this is more about the expressive berry fruit and elegant side of Barolo, ending with a terrific finish. Nonetheless, this will require several years for the tannins to be absorbed. To be released September 2022. Best from 2025 through 2045." - Wine Spectator, 98 Points

"**#1 World Wine of the Year 2022** Wow! The aromas to this are really exceptional, with a tangerine edge to the blackcurrants, graphite, lead pencil, flowers and wet earth. It changes all the time. So expressive and refined. Full-bodied with great intensity and depth of fruit. The ultra-fine tannins display millions of layers. The texture on the palate is superb and lasts for minutes. This is the new 1974 George de Latour, which was a legend. Real Napa Valley red here. Drinkable now, to understand it, but truly great in five to six years and onwards.

Parafada Cru has very compact soil with lots of clay. Typically shows much of tannin and masculinity. Only 1.13 hectare / 4,500 bottles a year produced by Massolino!

"The 2016 Barolo Parafada is fabulous. In fact, the 2016 is one of the best - if not the best - Parafadas I have ever tasted at Massolino. The natural richness of this site marries with the translucence of the year to produce a weightless yet powerful, highly nuanced Barolo that hits all the right notes. Dark cherry, lavender, spice, mint, rose petal and licorice develop in the glass, but it is the interplay of richness and lightness that elevates the Parafada into the realm of the truly sublime. I have never tasted a Parafada like this here. What a wine!" - Vinous, 96 Points

" The Massolino 2016 Barolo Parafada is a rich and beautifully fleshed out wine that brings forth abundant aromas of dark fruit, Morello cherry, spice, tobacco, crushed stone and rust. This wine shows power and determination, and it definitely has the structure, freshness and inner fruit weight to go the long haul. Parafada is made with old-vine Nebbiolo (60 years old and more), and these results show stunning precision and care. The wine will age with confidence for 20 years or more. Congratulations to Massolino for this classic beauty." - Wine Advocate, 97+ Points

Merlot is the dominant grape), appellations of Saint-Emilion and Pomerol.
