It has been nicknamed the &#8220;Naples of the Eastern world&#8221; for its bay location, hot climate, and emblematic stratovolcano, Sakurajima.<\/p>\n<h5 style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>Vodka<\/strong><\/h5>\n<p>AKAYANE Premium Vodka is made by slowly breaking down local Kagoshima sweet potatoes to convert its starches into sugar, without use rice koji.<\/p>\n<p>The sugar is slowly fermented at a low temperature to create a mash, which is then distilled in a directly-heated Charentais still.<\/p>\n<p>The spirit is then filtered through white birch charcoal.<\/p>\n<p>This premium vodka has the sweet scent of sweet potatoes, which is slightly different from the aroma of sweet potato shochu and has a crisp and sharp aftertaste.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][vc_column width=&#8221;1\/2&#8243;][vc_single_image image=&#8221;7363&#8243; img_size=&#8221;400&#215;200&#8243; alignment=&#8221;center&#8221;][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n<h5 style=\"text-align: center;\">Akayane<\/h5>\n<p>A small shochu distillery founded in 1908, located at the southernmost tip of Japan&#8217;s mainland.<\/p>\n<p>The AKAYANE story began in 2006.
