Kagoshima Prefecture<\/strong><\/h5>\n

It is a prefecture of Japan located on the island of Kyushu and the Ryukyu Islands.<\/p>\n

Kagoshima is the capital and largest city. It has been nicknamed the “Naples of the Eastern world” for its bay location, hot climate, and emblematic stratovolcano, Sakurajima.<\/p>\n

Absinthe<\/strong><\/h5>\n

Absinthe is an anise-flavored spirit derived from several plants<\/p>\n

It is including the flowers and leaves of Artemisia absinthium (“grand wormwood”), together with green anise, sweet fennel, and other medicinal and culinary herbs.<\/p>\n

Absinthe traditionally has a natural green color but may also be colorless.<\/p>\n

It is commonly referred to in historical literature as “the green fairy”. Akayane<\/h5>\n

A small shochu distillery founded in 1908, located at the southernmost tip of Japan’s mainland.<\/p>\n

The AKAYANE story began in 2006. A group of Japanese distillers aimed to expand the range of the Japanese distilled spirit shochu.<\/p>\n

They fused Japanese distilling techniques honed over more than over 110 years with European distilling equipment techniques and philosophies[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row]<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"

Made with 39 botanicals, including wormwood and star anise.<\/p>\n

The medicinal term \u201ckusushiki\u201d means mysterious or strange, and fits the image of absinthe as a mysterious spirit that has captured the attention of artists and writers across cultures.<\/p>\n
