The history of the Massolinos. became entwined with the history of Serralunga d\u2019Alba in 1896, when Giovanni founded the estate.<\/p>\n
Giovanni was the very first person to bring electricity to the village.<\/p>\n
The first wine cellar was built by Giuseppe, son of the founder Giovanni, who, together with his sister Angela, extended his estate into the best soils.<\/p>\n
At that time, Giuseppe had six children. Three of them followed in their father\u2019s footsteps, expanding the estate.<\/p>\n
They purchased Margheria, Parafada and Vigna Rionda, cru vineyards which are authentic jewels.<\/p>\n

Parafada Cru has very compact soil with lots of clay. Typically shows much of tannin and masculinity. Only 1.13 hectare \/ 4,500 bottles a year produced by Massolino!<\/p>\n
