United States<\/strong><\/p>\n

Wine has been produced in the United States since the 1500s, with the first widespread production beginning in New Mexico in 1628.<\/p>\n

Today, wine production is undertaken in all fifty states but 84% of all US wine is produced in California, over 90% in the states of California, Washington, and Oregon.<\/p>\n

The United States is the fourth-largest wine producing country in the world, after Italy, Spain, and France.<\/p>\n

The North American continent is home to several native species of grape, including Vitis labrusca, Vitis riparia, Vitis rotundifolia, and Vitis vulpina, but the wine-making industry is based almost entirely on the cultivation of the European Vitis vinifera, which was introduced by European settlers.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][vc_column width=”1\/2″][vc_single_image image=”14464″ img_size=”400×200″ alignment=”center”][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n

V\u00e9rit\u00e9<\/strong><\/p>\n

V\u00e9rit\u00e9 Winery is a wine producer based in Sonoma County in California. It is most famous for its three Bordeaux-styled blends: La Muse, La Joie, and Le D\u00e9sir, which have all received 100-point scores from American wine critic Robert Parker over several vintages.<\/p>\n

The V\u00e9rit\u00e9 estate is a vision created by the late Jess Jackson, a man who in Robert Parker\u2019s eyes \u201cwas one of the most extraordinary men in the wine world I have ever met.\u201d\u00a0 These wines always rate very highly.<\/p>\n

The wines of V\u00e9rit\u00e9, French for \u201ctruth,\u201d are the result of a combination of old world experience and new world fruit. The wine is a distinct blend of varietals harvested from small vineyard blocks, each cuv\u00e9e culminating in a bespoke union of grape varieties, climate, soil expression and winemaking technique.\u00a0 Vigneron Pierre Seillan refers to this methodology as droit du sol: \u201cright of the soil.\u201d<\/p>\n

La Joie 2019,<\/strong> was inspired by the classic wines from the Pauillac region of Bordeaux, and is blended from numerous mature plantings of Cabernet\u00a0Sauvignon vines grown along the steep hillsides and volcanic benches of the Mayacamas Mountains.<\/p>\n

Le D\u00e9sir 2019 <\/strong>is a Cabernet Franc-based blend that exudes high-toned aromatics, an iron-graphite core, and a pronounced minerality. Inspired by the iconic wines of Saint-\u00c9milion, Bordeaux, Le D\u00e9sir redefines Cabernet\u00a0Franc from the New World, with layers of concentrated fruit, exotic spice and a plush sueded texture.<\/p>\n
