The di Gr\u00e9sy family has owned Martinenga vineyard in Barbaresco since 1797.<\/p>\n
In the early 1970s Alberto di Gr\u00e9sy realized the potential of his vineyard and decided that he had to vinify his own grapes.<\/p>\n
In 1973 he produced his first vintage.<\/p>\n
Marchesi di Gr\u00e9sy only vinifies grapes coming from its properties.<\/p>\n

Gaiun is a 2.3ha single plot of Martinenga cru. It is located on the Western side of the amphitheatre facing mostly South with some South-easterly exposure.<\/p>\n
