The Bertani winery was founded in 1857 by the brothers Giovan Battista and Gaetano Bertani, in Quinto di Valpantena, north of Verona.
\nBertani\u2019s impact on Veneto winemaking, particularly in Amarone production, is so considerable that \u2018Bertani\u2019 and \u2018Amarone\u2019 are nearly synonymous. The 1st official vintage of Amarone Classico, made with a natural appassimento, has been produced by Bertani in 1958.
\nNowadays, with over 200 hectares of vineyards in the most suitable areas of the Verona province, today Bertani is still going on between tradition and innovation.
