Bordering on Tuscany and right above Rome, Umbria has as a capital Perugia. The city is famous for its University and chocolates, thanks to Perugina\/Baci brand! Another famous city is certainly Assisi. The Franciscan structures of Assisi have been selected as a World Heritage Site in 2000.
\nThe region is also named the Green Heart of Italy. Umbrian agriculture is noted for its tobacco, olive oil, black truffles (45% of Italian production in Valnerina) and vineyards.

The family operation began in 1971 when textiles entrepreneur Arnaldo Caprai purchased a 5ha vineyard, Val di Maggio, in Montefalco. In 1988, management passed on to Arnaldo\u2019s son, Marco.
\nToday, the estate extends for around 150 hectares, 136 of which are currently in production.
\nThe winery is the leading producer of top quality Sagrantino di Montefalco, a 100% Sagrantino wine. The Grape is recognized to have the highest level of Polyphenols and Tannins compared to any other variety in the world.
