A selection of old vines of Grenache, Mourvèdre and Syrah. The Grenache grapes come from the oldest vineyard of the Domaine, planted at the beginning of the last century. This terroir gives the Barberini fine tannins and aromatic profile.

Grape: 40% Grenache, 40% Mourvèdre, 20% Syrah

Rhône

One of the demanded red wine regions in France is the Rhône, a valley that starts due south of Lyon and continues along the Rhône River until Provence.

Due to its notable length, it has varying soils, expositions, micro-climates and varieties. The north is home to appellations such as Hermitage, Crozes-Hermitage, St-Joseph, Cornas and features Syrah as its sole red grape. Its whites include Marsanne, Roussanne and Viognier.

In its southern half of the Rhône, the wines are notably different. The vineyards are hotter, flatter and composed of different soils and varieties, such as Grenache, Mourvèdre, Cinsault and Carignan as well as the ubiquitous Syrah. The resulting wines such as Châteauneuf du Pape, are rich and robust with lots of character and warmth.

Domaine de La Solitude

La Solitude belongs to one of the oldest families of Châteauneuf-du-Pape. Their history goes back to the XVth century. From generation to generation, the Estate is still a family affair and is now run by Florent Lançon.
La Solitude stretches over 37 hectares of the best terroirs in Châteauneuf-du-Pape. The domain begins on “La Crau”, high terraces of the Rhône and then descends into the valley of la Solitude. It is a patchwork of terroirs ranging from sandy soils (safres) to clay and pebbles (galets roulés). Thirteen different grape varieties are cultivated there!
The vineyard has been practising organic viticulture for a long time and will be officially certified from 2021 vintage and biodynamic from 2022.

Burgundy

Burgundy (or Bourgogne in French) is a legendary wine region in eastern France. Most of the red wines are made from pinot noir grapes and white from chardonnay grapes.
Burgundy has a higher number of AOCs (84) than any other French region, often seen as the most terroir-conscious. The various AOCs are classified from grand cru vineyards down to non-specific regional appellations.
Chablis is the furthest north-region and produces some of the greatest whites.
Further south lies the Côte d’Or, split into Côte de Nuits, home to many of the world’s finest Pinot Noir wines, and Côte de Beaune where Chardonnay plays a more prominent role, though outstanding red and white are produced throughout.
Further south is the Côte Chalonnaise and the Maconnais with Burgundy’s best priced wines.

In 1903 in Nuits-Saint-Georges, Alexandre de Mayol de Lupé and Félix de Cholet decided to join forces to create the House which still bears their name, Lupé Cholet.
Owners of 25 hectares of vineyards in Chablis and the Côte d’Or, the winery also has long-established partnerships with various wine growers throughout Burgundy. In the vineyards, the best grapes are selected for vinification in the cellars at Château du Clos de Lupé.
Careful selection of the grapes, light pressing, partial or total de-stemming, cold maceration prior to fermentation are the techniques used to imprint the style of the wines.

Located in central Italy between the Apennines and the Adriatic, the region enjoys a very varied landscape going from mountains through hills to beautiful beaches, towering cliffs and clear blue waters.
Marche is best known as a white wine region, although it is also home to some reds of very high quality.
It has been the territory of the Verdicchio grape for more than 600 years. The wines are characterized by lively acidity and subtle herbaceous undertones, and are an excellent food match for Brodetto di Pesce, a rich seafood stew.
Among the red wines of Marche, the finest are generally made from the Montepulciano grape and/or Sangiovese. The best DOCG is the intensely fragrant Rosso Conero Riserva.

Umani Ronchi is a wine estate owned by the Bianchi-Bernetti family, who since 1957 has been producing Verdicchio, Montepulciano and others that find their finest expression in Marche and Abruzzo.
Umani Ronchi has a total surface area under vine of 210 hectares nestling between the hills and the sea along the Adriatic coast.
All the vineyards are farmed organically. For the winery, this was a technical decision rather than an ideological one. Organic farming requires balance in nature and a range of crops, trees and herbs that make up a biodiverse environment.
In Europe, Umani Ronchi has been recognized for the “Best red wine in the world” awarded by IWC to Pelago in 1997. In Asia, Jorio made the break thanks to the manga “The drops of God”!

Created with Giacomo Tachis, the winemaker behind Super Tuscan, Sassicaia, Tignanello or Solaia, it is nowadays one of the most important red wines of Italy. Complex and balsamic, finesse and power are combined together giving great elegance to this wine.

"This is a gorgeous and linear wine that boasts beautiful layers of black currant, tar, asphalt, drying mineral, green spice, curry powder and licorice. Made from a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Merlot, this wine has aged well over the years and promises additional longevity thanks to its bright acidity and the integrity of its fruit." - Wine Enthusiast, 93 Points

San Leonardo

Founded in 1724, San Leonardo has since remained in the same family. The estate is in Vallagarina in the extreme south of Trentino and extends over 300 hectares, 25 of which are planted with vine.
The rows, some dating from the late 19th century, are lined with cabernet sauvignon, carmenere and merlot, varieties the Guerrieri Gonzaga’s have always relied on to make wines that stand out with balance and elegance.
Today, it is owned by a direct descendant, Marchesi Carlo Guerrieri Gonzaga, previously wine-maker in Sassicaia. His knowledge and collaboration since 1984 with Giacomo Tachis, creator of the “Super Tuscans”, have given these wines a unique style that has gained the attention of the world.

Tuscany

Tuscany is known for its landscapes, history and artistic legacy. As the birthplace of the Italian Renaissance, the region has an incredible art and architecture heritage.
Tuscany is certainly the most famous of all Italian regions for its wines. Sangiovese reigns in all its forms in the vineyards of Chianti but also Montepulciano and Montalcino.
It is also the land of the Super Tuscan, the Bordeaux blend style that laid the foundation of some of the greatest Italian wines.
As a pairing with these wines, Tuscany cuisine is based on simplicity but high quality and certainly topped with Tuscan olive oil, recognized all over the world.

Casanuova delle Cerbaie

Casanuova delle Cerbaie begins its production of wines in the early 80s, thanks to the great passion of a lady of German origins. In 2008 the estate was bought by a New-Yorker who has always been in love with Tuscany. Since then, considerable investments have been made to produce a wine of high quality and infinite elegance.
Located just below the village of Montalcino in the northern sector of the region, the vineyards of Casanuova delle Cerbaie are located from 250 to 350 meters above sea level.
To date, the estate has 15 hectares of land, of which about 10 are vineyards registered with Sangiovese, 2 of olive, 3 of woods and arable land.
