On May 25th 1728, Louis XV issued a decree allowing wines of Champagne to be both shipped and commercialized in bottles, marking the birth of Champagne as we know it today. This Cuvée is only made from Grands Crus and in the best vintages.

"This is really punchy and broad-shouldered with muscular structure and citrusy undertones. Full body. Lightly tannic and a fresh and vivid finish. This is the first vintage without malolactic fermentation ever. One for the cellar." - James Suckling, 95 Points

Grape: 50% Chardonnay, 50% Pinot Noir

On May 25th 1728, Louis XV issued a decree allowing wines of Champagne to be both shipped and commercialized in bottles, marking the birth of Champagne as we know it today. This Cuvée is only made from Grands Crus and in the best vintages.

"This is a fantastic bottle of 1995 with a superb core of ripe fruit and praline and dried apricot. Full-bodied. Impressive length of almonds and other nuts. Peaches, too. So open and exciting. Wonderful example of mature Champagne with unique energy. Disgorged in 2006" - James Suckling, 98 Points

Grape: 50% Chardonnay, 50% Pinot Noir
