Giuseppe Cortese Vineyards in Rabaja’ & Trifolera.

"Intoxicating aromas of violets, dark cherries, pomegranates and a balsamic touch. A creamy, balanced palate with velvety tannins, integrated acidity, a medium to full body and a savory finish. Try from 2026." - James Suckling, 94 points

"Dried cherry, crushed rose and a hint of leather come through with calm certainty, like a scent you've known forever. The structure is firm but welcoming, with balanced tannins and steady acidity. It's a Barbaresco that plays the classics with no flash, just timeless quality that pulls you back in every time you revisit. Drink Now - 2045." - Wine Enthusiast, 93 points

The Rabajà vineyard is one of the most historic, famous, and sought-out crus of Barbaresco. 4 hectares with South / South-West exposure owned by Giuseppe Cortese!

"With all due respect to the estate Barbaresco, the flagship Rabajà bottling rightly boasts greater concentration, density and richer fruit given its mostly southwest exposure and warmer microclimate. At the same time, it retains absolute purity and balance. Limpid scents of raspberry, crushed allspice and mint blossom captivate. The palate demonstrates tension and textural depth with a mineral sensation simmering under the succulent dark berry core. The tannins are ripe but give a properly assertive grip. I remember walking through Rabajà in early October 2022, and the estate was one of the few that still had grapes on the vines. Clearly their decision to wait paid off." - Decanter, 95 Points

"The 2021 Barbaresco Riserva Rabajà is impressive. Dark fruit, menthol, licorice, gravel and dried herbs showcase Barbaresco's darker, more virile side. The 2021 is marked by deeper color and more fruit intensity - especially in the mid-palate - vis a vis the 2019 tasted alongside it. Time in the glass brings out the wine's textural resonance, volume and presence. I imagine the 2021 will be slow to mature. It should be worth waiting for." - Vinous, 97 Points

"Balsamic aromas and flavors of eucalyptus and tomato leaf are matched to a core of ripe cherry, plum and earth. Though lean and austere now, this compact red offers a core of fruit and, in the end, nice equilibrium and impressive length." - Wine Advocate, 95 Points

The vineyard “Parussi” is located in Castiglione Falletto with excellent south-easterly/south-westerly exposure. Only 1.3 hectare at 300 m above sea level.

"The Barolo Parussi 2020 is a real eye-catcher. The wine is radiant and bright with a particularly direct and concentrated quality. I would describe it as razor-sharp. There is also a general feeling of finesse and tightness. I can't get enough of it and am curious to see how it will develop in 10 or 20 years." - Wine Advocate, 97+ Points

"The Barolo Parussi 2020 is an elegant, nuanced wine. It shows lovely textural depth and resonance, but in the mid-weight style of the year. Dark red cherry, lavender, rose petal, mint and spice all build beautifully and fill out the layers effortlessly. The 2020 is weightless and elegant, with the understated textural depth that is so typical of this vintage." - Vinous, 94 Points

A typical Serralunga soil. Margheria cru owned by Massolino is only 1.5 hectare with a production of 5,500 bottles max.

"I like the freshness and vivid, red-fruited character. Medium-bodied with firm, slightly chewy tannins. It’s compact and structured with a tense and lively aftertaste. Vivid and bright with hibiscus undertones to the orange and berry character. Try from 2027, but already very pretty." - James Suckling, 95 Points

"This Margheria Barolo is a stunning expression of elegance, with captivating high-toned fruit and delicate hints of strawberry tops. The palate is refined and graceful, with fine-grained tannins and mouthwatering acidity that enhance the pure, precise flavors. A true embodiment of finesse, this wine is a standout example of the cru's potential. Drink 2026-2045." - Wine Enthusiast, 94 Points

Parafada Cru has very compact soil with lots of clay. Typically shows much of tannin and masculinity. Only 1.13 hectare / 4,500 bottles a year produced by Massolino!

"Notes of dried raspberries, cherries, dried orange peel and ground spices. Some tar. Medium-bodied, structured and firm, with polished tannins. I like the energy and length here. Round and refined with a bright finish. So well done. Drink after 2027" - James Suckling, 96 Points

“Parafada is a small MGA in a basin with full south, east and west exposures. Massolino's interpretation is surgical: super-zesty with earthy strawberry, liquorice, fresh violet and a Pinot-like elegance. The palate shows a richness with juicy, brilliant acidity, silky tannins and an amazing finish with blood orange vibrancy. Graceful, with good strength for ageing.” - Decanter, 96 Points

"The organic 2020 Barbaresco Bernadot offers a darker fruit performance with black cherry and blackcurrant.
