From the Arabic term “Son of the Wind” because the wind sweeps constantly around the grape clusters on Pantelleria.
Rich bouquet with outstanding aromas obtained from the dried grapes: apricots and candied orange peel.

Maybe the best sweet wine from Italy?

"A coppery brown color makes the nose of tangerine, apricot, lemon curd and honey somewhat of a surprise. The palate is consistent, with more apricots, honey and Cara Cara oranges, but also keeps you guessing with a crumble of candied pecans. A decadent, delightful wine." - Wine Enthusiast, 94 Points

"Exotic yet remarkably fresh, the 2023 Ben Ryé bursts from the glass with a seductive blend of white raisins, minty herbs, poached peaches and tropical citrus. It is weighty, rich and harmonious throughout, coming across as sweet but not cloyingly so. Ultra-ripe pit fruit combines with candied lemon and a crisp mineral tinge that adds form toward the close. Dramatically long, the 2023 leaves a resonance of sour melon and an air of confectionary spice while cleaning up well, leaving the palate completely refreshed." - Vinous, 94+ Points

Grape: 100% Zibibbo (Muscat of Alexandria)

From the Arabic term “Son of the Wind” because the wind sweeps constantly around the grape clusters on Pantelleria.
Rich bouquet with outstanding aromas obtained from the dried grapes: apricots and candied orange peel. Maybe the best sweet wine from Italy?

"Gorgeous flavours of sun-ripened peach, bitter orange peel and dried figs, infused with luxurious flowers that shine through the supple texture and wonderful caress of refreshing acidity. Very engaging and rich, with an unbroken length." - Decanter, 97 Points

"Burnt blood orange, autumnal spices, candied ginger, dried nectarines and a hint of mint form a kaleidoscopic bouquet as the 2022 Ben Ryé blossoms in the glass. It feels heavy and velvety, yet remarkably fresh, flooding the palate with an abundance of tropical citrus, mango and papaya supported by a core of zesty acidity. The 2022 finishes with dramatic length and concentration. The finish of peach nectar and savoury spices is long lasting. The 2022 is sure to join the ranks of Ben Ryé's best vintages." - Vinous, 95 Points

Grape: 100% Zibibbo (Muscat of Alexandria)

The South West (or ‘Sud-Ouest’) is a relatively large territorial zone of France, incorporating the administrative regions of Aquitaine, Limousin and Midi-Pyrenees but excluding Bordeaux.
South West France is a rather heterogeneous region in terms of its wines and how they are marketed. It is rare to see wines being sold as Vins du Sud-Ouest. With Bordeaux brightly highlighted wines, the south-western wine regions have been struggling for centuries to get recognition for their diverse & unique appellations.
The region’s wine portfolio, meanwhile, includes sweet wines from Jurancon; tannic, full-blooded reds from Cahors and Madiran; sparkling wines from Gaillac; and dry whites produced from a wide range of different grape varieties.

The Chateau is producing three different cuvées of sweet Pacherenc, according to the harvest date (October, November or December) named after the months of the French revolutionary calendar: according to specific natural degrees of sweetness: Vendémiaire, Brumaire and Frimaire. Bouscassé's Pacherencs are ranked among the world's greatest white wines.

Aromas of exotic fruits, mangoes and apricots, generous on the palate with crisp fruits.

Grape: 100% Petit Manseng

South West
