25 Anni is the result of research and careful clonal selection of Sagrantino’s best grapes. This jubilee wine was produced for the first time in 1993 to celebrate the winery’s 25th anniversary. Since then, 25 Anni has kept its name as well as its unique character, power and elegance. Aged 24 months in French oak barrique.

"Balsamic spice mingles with cocoa and mentholated herbs as the dark and brooding 2020 Montefalco Sagrantino 25 Anni slowly awakens in the glass. It is youthfully dense and velvety and flows across the palate like melted chocolate, with ripe wild berries contrasted by tangible minerals and spices. Its acidity provides fantastic balance, while the 2020 leaves a layer of sweet tannins and primary fruit flavours that finish long and pleasantly chewy. This is a much more approachable vintage, but no less complex." - Vinous, 95+ Points

"The nose is dominated by graphite, with restrained notes of wild blackberry, meat, balsamic and aromatic herbs. The attack is supple, with a full body, youthful fruit character and muscular but very fine tannins that combine with a refreshing acidity and a polished tobacco aftertaste. It needs another year or two of ageing to integrate the oak, but it will last for decades." - James Suckling, 96 Points

Grape: 100% Sagrantino

Planted in 1923, Finca Nazarenas is located in Agrelo, Luján de Cuyo, at 950 meters
of altitude on an alluvial cone. Its deep clay soils create a unique terroir which defines
this wine from these hundred-year-old Malbec vines. The site has a distinct thermal
amplitude with very cool nights, which allow the vines to rest and create an expression
of Malbec which is defined by the tension between maturity and its natural freshness.

"Really deep and profound nose with lots of ripeness, but there is nothing overripe. Blackberries, violets, dark spices, dark chocolate and a touch of figs. Full-bodied, lush and voluptuous with plenty of silky tannins that dissolve seamlessly. Very long. Drink or hold." - James Suckling, 96 Points

The vineyard was planted in 1921 over an ancient dry riverbed in Medrano. Mirador is sun, sand and furious heat; and although water is no longer flowing through this dry river, a cool breeze comes down every night and helps to maintain the natural acidity of this full ripened Malbec.

"Tons of black fruit with a note of graphite, violets and dark chocolate. Plush, gritty tannins with concentrated, juicy blackberries and very silky tannins.

Parafada Cru has very compact soil with lots of clay. Typically shows much of tannin and masculinity. Only 1.13 hectare / 4,500 bottles a year produced by Massolino!

"Notes of dried raspberries, cherries, dried orange peel and ground spices. Some tar. Medium-bodied, structured and firm, with polished tannins. I like the energy and length here. Round and refined with a bright finish. So well done. Drink after 2027" - James Suckling, 96 Points

“Parafada is a small MGA in a basin with full south, east and west exposures. Massolino's interpretation is surgical: super-zesty with earthy strawberry, liquorice, fresh violet and a Pinot-like elegance. The palate shows a richness with juicy, brilliant acidity, silky tannins and an amazing finish with blood orange vibrancy. Graceful, with good strength for ageing.” - Decanter, 96 Points

Made according to the 18th-century vinique art. The wine consists of a large number of co-fermented grapes with much longer macerations than those made today.

The grapes of each grape variety are harvested by hand and then put in vats over their maturity. After pressing them, the juices are co-fermented in barrels of several wines. The alcoholic fermentation is due to indigenous yeasts, followed by the malolactic fermentation. The wine is raised in barrels on lies for 10 months.

The winery reissued the four original labels of the Wine of Solitude.

"This feels like stepping into a still forest clearing, although the very subtle candied citrus aromas have nothing to do with that image. Fantastic balance of creaminess, very fine tannins and stony minerality, plus almost perfect integration of fruit and oak. From biodynamically grown grapes with Demeter certification. Drink or hold." - James Suckling, 96 Points

"Another brilliant white from this estate. Its medium gold hue is followed by a Burgundian-like bouquet of orchard fruits, white flowers, and chalky minerality. Medium-bodied, pure, layered, with elegant acidity." - Jeb Dunnuck, 96 Points & Top 100 wines of the Year 2024

"Macadamia oak notes are accompanied by some struck-match reduction, adding a smoky touch. Only medium bodied, there's no excess weight or alcohol here; it’s fresh, with marked acidity. This is a wine with serious intensity, salinity and length. It's currently quite tight due to the oak work, which is dominating the nose, too. That should harmonise within a few years to create a regal style of Châteauneuf. Fermented then aged in old barriques. Just 1,600 bottles made." - Decanter, 97 Points

Grape: 60% Clairette, 20% Grenache Blanc, 20% Roussanne

A selection of old vines of Grenache, Mourvèdre and Syrah. The Grenache grapes come from the oldest vineyard of the Domaine, planted at the beginning of the last century. This terroir gives the Barberini fine tannins and aromatic profile.

"The Barberini cuvée is slightly more modern in style, and the 2022 Châteauneuf Du Pape Barberini is no exception. It has a Provençal, complex, elegant style with red and black fruits, sappy spring flowers, spice, and garrigue notes. Despite being aged in new barrels, the oak is flawlessly integrated. Medium to full-bodied with polished tannins and a great finish, this wine is best enjoyed over the next 10-15 years." - Jeb Dunnuck, 95 Points

"A rich and deeply structured Chateauneuf-du-Pape that’s expansive on the full-bodied palate. Enveloping mulberry and licorice aromas. Deep and suave tannins anchor this, and there’s freshness that keeps this animating through the very long, complete finish." - James Suckling, 96 Points

The region is renowned for the quality of its local salamis and meats giving rise to specialities such as carbonada, a dish composed of stewed meat wine, onions and spices. The cheeses are equally famous.
Home to Europe’s highest elevated vineyards, Valle d’Aosta is Italy’s smallest winemaking region both in terms of size and production.

"Very attractive red cherries and berries with plenty of sweetly fragrant spice and warm stones. This offers exceptional power and rich, ripe fruit on the palate. Really balanced and succulent with seamlessly arranged tannins. So good." - James Suckling, 96pts

"The 2015 Barolo Brunate is yet another silky and fine red wine with perhaps a tiny bit more structure and firmness at the back than the other single-vineyard offerings from Ceretto. It is beautifully accessible and oh so fine and elegant. The wine is aged in 300-liter French oak (with 10% new oak) for 12 months, followed by 24 months in Austrian oak casks. I absolutely love this wine. It's a cru that will impress at any wine-tasting party, or I can picture it at dinner with a deliciously rare steak au poivre." - Wine Advocate, 96 Points

"Very dense, but also vivid with great elderberry, lavender, licorice and allspice aromas. Impressive concentration and power for the challenging vintage. Magnificent follow through at the long structured finish. Best from 2026. From organically grown grapes." - James Suckling, 96 Points

"Marked by scents of truffle and tree bark, great blackberry and black cherry fruit, plus accents of licorice and peppery spice, it's another in a line of terrific wines that have been made every year since 2009. Full-bodied, rich and concentrated, it's velvety but tannic, with enough structure and intensity on the lingering finish to expect at least two decades of cellaring potential (but probably more)." - Wine Advocate, 97 Points

Grape: 60% Mourvèdre - 20% Grenache - 20% Syrah.

Rhône

One of the demanded red wine regions in France is the Rhône, a valley that starts due south of Lyon and continues along the Rhône River until Provence.

Due to its notable length, it has varying soils, expositions, micro-climates and varieties. The north is home to appellations such as Hermitage, Crozes-Hermitage, St-Joseph, Cornas and features Syrah as its sole red grape. Its whites include Marsanne, Roussanne and Viognier.

In its southern half of the Rhône, the wines are notably different. The vineyards are hotter, flatter and composed of different soils and varieties, such as Grenache, Mourvèdre, Cinsault and Carignan as well as the ubiquitous Syrah. The resulting wines such as Châteauneuf du Pape, are rich and robust with lots of character and warmth.

Château de Beaucastel

Château de Beaucastel is 110 hectares, with one single plot in an exceptional terroir at the Northern limit of Châteauneuf du Pape.

The terroir is archetypal of the best terroirs in Châteauneuf: rolled pebbles on the surface, sand, clay and limestone deeper down.

The vines are old and have been organically grown for 50 years, which has allowed the roots to grow exceptionally deep.

They were one of the first converts to organic and biodynamic farming in Châteauneuf-du-Pape, which they adopted in 1950 and 1974 respectively.
