25 Anni is the result of research and careful clonal selection of Sagrantino’s best grapes. This jubilee wine was produced for the first time in 1993 to celebrate the winery’s 25th anniversary. Since then, 25 Anni has kept its name as well as its unique character, power and elegance. Aged 24 months in French oak barrique.

"Balsamic spice mingles with cocoa and mentholated herbs as the dark and brooding 2020 Montefalco Sagrantino 25 Anni slowly awakens in the glass. It is youthfully dense and velvety and flows across the palate like melted chocolate, with ripe wild berries contrasted by tangible minerals and spices. Its acidity provides fantastic balance, while the 2020 leaves a layer of sweet tannins and primary fruit flavours that finish long and pleasantly chewy. This is a much more approachable vintage, but no less complex." - Vinous, 95+ Points

"The nose is dominated by graphite, with restrained notes of wild blackberry, meat, balsamic and aromatic herbs. The attack is supple, with a full body, youthful fruit character and muscular but very fine tannins that combine with a refreshing acidity and a polished tobacco aftertaste. It needs another year or two of ageing to integrate the oak, but it will last for decades." - James Suckling, 96 Points

Grape: 100% Sagrantino

"Deep, complex and serious, with tar, dried blackberries, peppercorns, tarmac, cocoa beans and a hint of pencil and cedar on the nose. Really vertical and tannic, with a full body and beautifully structured tannins. Don't be put off by the austere, sinewy tannins, which are typical of Sagrantino and show very good integration potential, even if it's still too early to approach the wine. Very long, savoury and well framed, with a hint of dark chocolate on the finish. This wine should age very well over the next 15-20 years."" - James Suckling, 95 Points

In the biggest years, the family selects a Brunello Riserva which is aged, according to regulations, for five years, three of which are in wood. The grapes primarily come from the oldest vines in the vineyard.

"The aromas of dried berries, orange peel and flowers lead to a medium body with ultra-fine tannins that blend well into the wine, giving it energy and length. Beautiful ripe fruit with a juicy and flavourful finish. A classic and wonderfully proportioned young Brunello. Drinkable, but better after 2026 and beyond." - James Suckling, 97 Points

"The Brunello di Montalcino Riserva 2019 is a seductress with a multitude of cinnamon, cloves, allspice, black cherry and a hint of laurel. On the palate, Brunello di Montalcino Riserva is radiant and classic, with lively ripe red fruit and sweet spices, perfectly accompanied by a core of brilliant acidity. Its minerality emerges on the finish, which is tactile and salty. A web of fine-grained tannins envelops the senses with youthful balance, nuances of cedar and inner rose. The 2019 is captivating and made for the cellar. What a beauty." - Vinous, 97 Points

Grape: 100% Sangiovese

Some consider Bertani as the inventor of modern Amarone. They work on the purity of the wine’s fruit, its territory and its tradition. The wine is built on acid and structure, not on sweetness and extract.

"There is amazing transparency in this Amarone, with aromas of prunes, restrained dark chocolate, sweet violets, smoke, woodland, bark, earth, truffles, bay leaves and tamarind. It’s full-bodied and sleek, with opulent, velvety tannins. Tight-knit, almost zesty acidity provides vibrancy and length, with rhubarb, pepper and nuts in the finish." - James Suckling, 97 Points

From the Arabic term "Son of the Wind" because the wind sweeps constantly around the grape clusters on Pantelleria. And the island's winds bring with them a profusion of fragrances so powerful that you can touch them!
Rich bouquet with outstanding aromas obtained from the dried grapes: apricots and candied orange peel. Maybe the best sweet wine from Italy?

"Pale golden-amber color. A full-bodied, sweet white with evolving layers of honey, lilies, candied ginger, peaches, kumquats and lychees. So luscious, complex and balanced. Incredibly long finish." - James Suckling, 95 Points

From the Arabic term “Son of the Wind” because the wind sweeps constantly around the grape clusters on Pantelleria.
Rich bouquet with outstanding aromas obtained from the dried grapes: apricots and candied orange peel. Maybe the best sweet wine from Italy?

"Gorgeous flavours of sun-ripened peach, bitter orange peel and dried figs, infused with luxurious flowers that shine through the supple texture and wonderful caress of refreshing acidity. Very engaging and rich, with an unbroken length." - Decanter, 97 Points

"Burnt blood orange, autumnal spices, candied ginger, dried nectarines and a hint of mint form a kaleidoscopic bouquet as the 2022 Ben Ryé blossoms in the glass. It feels heavy and velvety, yet remarkably fresh, flooding the palate with an abundance of tropical citrus, mango and papaya supported by a core of zesty acidity. The 2022 finishes with dramatic length and concentration. The finish of peach nectar and savoury spices is long lasting. The 2022 is sure to join the ranks of Ben Ryé's best vintages." - Vinous, 95 Points

Grape: 100% Zibibbo (Muscat of Alexandria)

A typical Serralunga soil. Margheria cru owned by Massolino is only 1.5 hectare with a production of 5,500 bottles max.

"I like the freshness and vivid, red-fruited character. Medium-bodied with firm, slightly chewy tannins. It’s compact and structured with a tense and lively aftertaste. Vivid and bright with hibiscus undertones to the orange and berry character. Try from 2027, but already very pretty." - James Suckling, 95 Points

"This Margheria Barolo is a stunning expression of elegance, with captivating high-toned fruit and delicate hints of strawberry tops. The palate is refined and graceful, with fine-grained tannins and mouthwatering acidity that enhance the pure, precise flavors. A true embodiment of finesse, this wine is a standout example of the cru's potential. Drink 2026-2045." - Wine Enthusiast, 94 Points

From the oldest vines from the Montecarotto vineyard, first planted in the 1970s.

18 months in concrete tanks, during which the wine remains in continuous contact with its lees. This is followed by the racking of the must by natural sedimentation into another small stainless-steel container. The wine rests here for about 36 months until bottling, which takes place at least 6 months before being released.

"This is a serious verdicchio that should remind you of the potential of the grape. Lemon zest, fennel, minerals and a touch of beeswax. Intense, naturally concentrated and very fresh, yet sleek and textured, with edgy minerality and salinity stretching to the finish. Long and pure. From organically grown grapes. Youthful and delicious now but can hold." - James Suckling, 94 Points

In Asia, Jorio made its fame thanks to the manga “The Drops of God” by Gambero Rosso.

Calabria

Calabria is generally known as the “toe” of the Italy “boot”.
A typical feature of the region is agricultural richness. Calabrian Bergamot is recognized as the best quality for essence oil in the world. Calabria is also the largest producer of Porcini Mushrooms in Italy.
Calabrian cuisine can be (very) spicy, at the image of the Nduja, a spreadable pork salume. It is mainly served with slices of bread or with ripe cheese.
Calabria is also well known for its Ciro DOC wine region, based on the Gaglioppo grape variety. Considered one of the oldest named wines in the world, with a winemaking history stretching back thousands of years, this is very much Calabria’s flagship wine.

Librandi has 300 hectares of vineyards around Cirò Marina, a small town in the southern Italian region of Calabria. The geographic position, located between the sea and the Sila Mountains, guarantees an excellent balance between day and nighttime temperatures.

Librandi was awarded “Best Italian wine grower 2013” by Gambero Rosso.
