Burgundy (or Bourgogne in French) is a legendary wine region in eastern France.<\/p>\n
Most of the red wines are made from pinot noir grapes and white from chardonnay grapes.<\/p>\n
Burgundy has a higher number of AOCs than any other French region, often seen as the most terroir conscious. The various AOCs are classified from grand cru vineyards down to non-specific regional appellations.<\/p>\n
Chablis is the furthest north-region and produces some of the greatest whites.<\/p>\n
Further south lies the C\u00f4te d\u2019Or, split into C\u00f4te de Nuits, home to many of the world\u2019s finest Pinot Noir wines, and C\u00f4te de Beaune where Chardonnay plays a more prominent role, though outstanding red and white are produced throughout.<\/p>\n

The cellars are situated in Prissey, a hamlet neighbouring Nuits-Saint-Georges.<\/p>\n
Their superb high arches of the cellar have been built in XIXth century by Mr. Charles Vi\u00e9not, a famous Burgundian. They allow the storage of an impressive quantity of oak barrels.<\/p>\n

Beautiful ruby color with lots of depth. The sumptuous nose always with aromas of spices and black fruits and a small floral note on faded rose petals.<\/p>\n
In the mouth, we find these notes with a very nice balance with a lot of finesse and complexity, an aromatic intensity which develops as the tasting progresses.<\/p>\n
A very slight saline note at the end of the palate underlines the balance of the vintage.<\/p>\n
