Situated on the south-west coast of Scotland, Arran is only 432 km2 and a resident population of 4,629. Often referred to as “Scotland in Miniature”, the island is divided into highland and lowland areas and has been described as a “geologist’s paradise”.
The main industry on the island is tourism, with outdoor activities. The Arran Coastal Way was designated as one of Scotland’s Great Trails by Scottish Natural Heritage in June 2017.
The island is recognized as perfect for whisky production. The source –Loch na Davie –has been verified as amongst the purest in Scotland, a unique climate, Gulf Stream effect, can also contribute to rapid maturation.
In fact, the island has a rich history of distillation –first legal distillery on Arran in 1836. During the 19th century, there were more than 50 illicit stills on Arran but all disappeared.

Saint Lucia

Saint Lucia is a sovereign island country in the West indies, located north/northeast of the island of Saint-Vincent, northwest of Barbados and south of Martinique. It covers a land area of 617 km2.
The French were the island’s first European settlers, thanks to a pirate named François Le Clerc, nicknamed “Jambe de Bois” because of his wooden leg.
England took control of the island from 1663 to 1667. In ensuing years, it was at war with France fourteen times, and the rule of the island changed frequently (it was ruled seven times each by the French and British). In 1814, the British took definitive control of the island.
Saint Lucia only became independent within the British Commonwealth in 1979.
The country is becoming more and more touristic. Two mountains, the Pitons, form the island’s most famous landmark on the western side of the island.

Admiral Rodney

Admiral Rodney is a truly unique brand produced by the Saint Lucia Distillers.
The distillery, the only one of Saint Lucia island has been created in 1972 as a result of the merger of Saint Lucia last two distilleries (Barnard Distillery from Dennery and Geest Distillery from Roseau Valley).
Awarded “(Rum) Distillery of the Year” by World Spirits in 2018, St Lucia is producing a 100% English Style Rum.
The Admiral Rodney signature flavour profile comes from the robust base rum extracted from lower plates on the Coffey still, where there is less alcohol but more natural flavour and true rum character. These rums are then patiently aged in oak casks and meticulously blended to create soft, rich sipping rums that tell stories long after your glass is empty.
