This wine, produced only in the best vintages, was created to celebrate the founder, Valentino Maiolini, who in the 1970s started his wine adventure.

Completely different to other wines, this Franciacorta is left to age with its own yeasts for 9/10 years.

Grape: 90% Chardonnay, 10% Pinot Nero

From 2 high-density estate vineyards in Borgonato, the hillslope Quindicipiò vineyard and Brolo, with its view of Palazzo Lana Berlucchi.

The cuvée is assembled with the highest-quality base wines, all 100% of the same growing year. The wine re-ferments and matures sur lie in the bottle for a minimum of 10 years, followed by a further 6 months after disgorging. Extra Brut Dosage.

"The 2011 Franciacorta Riserva Palazzo Lana Extrême Extra Brut from Guido Berlucchi has a thick layer of creamy peach or apricot that goes beyond the bouquet and ultimately colours the palate richly. These fruits are framed by small hints of exotic spices, cinnamon and caraway. The acidity is lively and the wine finishes on a dry note with a slight effervescence. This is certainly a delicious sparkling food wine." - Wine Advocate, 94 Points

"Complex notes of grapefruit, fresh figs, lemons, green apples, walnuts, chalk and salted nuts. It is lively and racy, with a medium body and broad, creamy bubbles. Excellent flavour intensity and persistence with a dry and nutty finish." - James Suckling, 93 Points

Grape: 100% Pinot Noir

Chardonnay (100%), grown in the central parcel of the Arzelle estate vineyard, planted at a high density of 10,000 vines/hectare.
The cuvée is assembled, in the spring following the harvest, with base wines 100% of the same growing year. The wine re-ferments and matures sur lie in the bottle for a minimum of 5 years, followed by a further 6 months after disgorging.
This “zero dosage” Blanc de Blancs is generous and deep, offering ripe apricot and melon, and candied apricot, then concluding on a rich note of black liquorice and pan brioche.

"This finesse-driven wine captivates the senses the moment the cork is pulled. The wine opens with fresh and baked apples, Meyer lemon tart, wildflowers and roasted honey. The palate is lifted and defined by orchard fruits, roasted citrus rinds, notes of crème fraîche, roasted hazelnuts and minerality. It finishes with an elegant perlage and vibrant acidity. Editor's Choice" - Wine Enthusiast, 95 Points

Ca’ del Bosco

Maurizio Zanella founded Ca’ del Bosco in 1968. The winery is situated in the Franciacorta region of Lombardy among the gentle hills of Brescia, south of Lake Iseo. Its neighbouring towns were historically better known for their production of firearms than wine.
Mr Zanella dedicated himself, for decades, to put Franciacorta on the map of quality Italian wine regions. He has worked to ensure the word “Franciacorta” would indicate a specific type of sparkling wine from a specific region, and would not be confused with “methode champenoise” or “spumante.”
Nowadays, the winery owns vineyards planted to Chardonnay, Pinot Bianco, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Pinot Nero and other indigenous Franciacorta grapes. Ca’ del Bosco’s reputation for sparkling wines has been secured by the excellence of its cuvées.
