Gancia, historical brand of the Italian wine sector, is an excellence of the “Made in Italy”.
Carlo Gancia, the founder of the company in 1850, has transferred his energy and his interest in research and experimentation in Gancia, who in 170 years of business, has always been one of the most innovative Italian companies.
The main steps of Gancia history are: the creation of the first Italian sparkling wine made from Moscato grapes in 1865 and the first White Vermouth at the end of the nineteenth century. From 2014, the historical cellars of Gancia are a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Puerto Rico

Puerto Rico is an unincorporated territory of the United States located between the Caribbean Sea and the Atlantic, east of the Dominican Republic, approximately 1,600 km southeast of Miami, Florida.
Puerto Rico is one of the biggest and best rum-producing nations in the world. The climate of Puerto Rico is just right for producing the sugar cane from which rum (or ron, as the locals know it) is made.
The spirit is also a big part of the island’s history. Juan Ponce de León first brought Creole sugar cane rootstocks from La Española (Dominican Republic) in 1506. Eleven years later, the first sugar mill was established in Añasco. Rum production began in the 1650s.
Today, more than 80% of the rum consumed in the USA hails from this island.

Don Q

In 1861, Don Juan Serrallés founded a small sugar cane plantation – the Hacienda Mercedita.
In 1865, he produced his first few casks of rum using a five-tray copper pot still he had imported from France. With that, the Serrallés family rum tradition had begun.
In 1934, the family launched Don Q. the brand is named for Don Quixote, the famous literary character from the family’s favorite novel.
In 1954, the original Piña Colada was created at The Caribe Hilton hotel in Old San Juan, by Ramon ‘Monchito’ Marrero using Don Q Gold rum!
Today, Serrallés 6^th generation is one of America’s oldest family-owned and operated companies.
The company is the leading rum producer in Puerto Rico
The brands have close to 70% market share in PR, selling over 1 million cases there.
