The gentle slope of the hills of Montefalco gave the name of the wine, Collepiano. Aged 22 months in French oak barrique, a wine full of power and finesse.

"Spicy nose of rich blackberries with hints of savoury, sweet spices, violet extract and dark chocolate. Full-bodied and tannic, with rich fruit and a bittersweet accent on the viscous finish. Long and austere. Needs time to mellow." - James Suckling, 93 Points

"A core of dense, fine tannins is enmeshed in a weave of plumped cherry and raspberry fruit, warm spice, dried rosemary and black olive notes, plus a subtle underpinning of loamy earth. More about structure than expression today, so give this time." - Wine Spectator, 92 Points

Grape: 100% Sagrantino

"Packaged in a really fun bottle with all the colors of a traditional Sicilian painted horse carriage, this wine is a joint project between Donnafugata and fashion house Dolce & Gabbana. With Nerello Mascalese from 700 meters above sea level on the flank of the Sicilian volcano, the 2018 Etna Rosso Dolce & Gabbana Cuordilava evokes dried currant and cassis with rosemary sprig, rose petal, iron ore and campfire ash. There is some sweet spice over a mid-weight mouthfeel with relatively soft tannins" - Wine Advocate, 92 Points

"The 2022 Etna Bianco Sul Vulcano shows fresh, floral aromas and citrus fruits and remains a wine with brightness and luminosity. It offers a beautiful freshness and a concentrated acidity with lemon and a hint of passion fruit or grapefruit, which give lightness and lift to the bouquet. There is also a nice salinity on the finish. It offers a lot of freshness and accessibility." - Wine Advocate, 92 Points

"In the glass, the 2022 Etna Bianco Sul Vulcano is intense and airy. It smells of dried flowers, crushed stones and ginger shavings. On the palate, it has a silky texture that is complemented by tactile mineral tones, savoury spice notes and crunchy fruit cascades. The clean finish leaves a sweet and sour sensation in the mouth." - Vinous, 93 Points

Tuscany is certainly the most famous of all Italian regions for its wines. Sangiovese reigns in all its forms in the vineyards of Chianti but also Montepulciano and Montalcino.
It is also the land of the Super Tuscan, the Bordeaux blend style that laid the foundation of some of the greatest Italian wines.
As a pairing with these wines, Tuscany cuisine is based on simplicity but high quality and certainly topped with Tuscan olive oil, recognized all over the world.

Brunello di Montalcino “Castelgiocondo” is a wine that is a bearer of the passage of time and respect for tradition, a value that the Marchesi de’ Frescobaldi winery, even today, after 700 years of history, continues to emphasize in each of its labels. This is a territorial red, expressing the potential of Sangiovese within one of the most renowned terroirs in all of Tuscany and giving a powerful but never out of control sip, always harmonious thanks to elegant tannins.

This “Castelgiocondo” Brunello di Montalcino comes from a careful selection of Sangiovese grapes made by the Frescobaldi winery team. The vineyards, facing south and southwest, are situated at an optimal altitude of between 250 and 450 meters above sea level and are rooted in a terroir rich in sand, clay and calcium. .
